Ninth Sitting of the Second Regular Session of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia in 2021

The Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic convened the Ninth Sitting of the Second Regular Session of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia in 2021, for Thursday, 2 December 2021, starting at noon.

Before commencing the proceedings, the heads i.e. authorised representatives of the parliamentary groups, MP Nebojsa Bakarec requested information and explanations in line with article 287 of the National Assembly Rules of Procedure.

On behalf of the MPs and himself, the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic greeted the representatives of the delegation of the European Union in the Republic of Serbia and the representatives of the National Convention on the EU who watched the sitting from the gallery of the Grand Hall of the National Assembly House.

The National Assembly proceeded to adopt the following agenda:

  1. Proposal of the Conclusion on the presenting of the European Commission 2021 Report on the Republic of Serbia, submitted by a group of 15 MPs, and

  2. Proposal of the Decision amending the Decision on the Election of Members and Deputy Members of the Committees of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, submitted by the “Aleksandar Vucic – For Our Children” Parliamentary Group”.
The National Assembly then commenced a joint single debate on items 1 and 2 on the agenda, presented by Prime Minister Ana Brnabic, Minister of European Integration Jadranka Joksimovic, Minister for Human and Minority Rights and Social Dialogue Gordana Comic and Minister of Justice Maja Popovic.

By the end of the day, the National Assembly completed the debate on both the items on the agenda and the Chair, National Assembly Speaker Ivica Dacic set Thursday, 2 December 2021, as Voting Day on the items on the agenda of the Ninth Sitting of the Second Regular Session of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia in 2021, starting at 6 pm.

Voting Day

On Voting Day, 2 December 2021, the National Assembly adopted the Proposal of the Conclusion on the presenting of the European Commission 2021 Report on the Republic of Serbia and the Proposal of the Decision amending the Decision on the Election of Members and Deputy Members of the Committees of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia.

As the National Assembly had completed the debate on all the items on the agenda and ruled on them, the Chair, National Assembly Speaker Ivica Dacic, concluded the Ninth Sitting of the Second Regular Session of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia in 2021.
