Ninth Sitting of the Committee on Science and Technological Development
At the sitting held on 28 April, the members of the Committee on Science and Technological Development considered the Bill amending and modifying the Republic of Serbia 2009 Budget Law, section 20 – Ministry of Science and Technological Development.

State Secretary at the Ministry of Science and Technological Development Snezana Pajovic briefed the Committee members on the Ministry’s efforts to preserve the volume of funds intended for science, primarily for financing scientific projects, which will not be affected by the budget rebalance. She stated that the Ministry of Science had requested from the Ministry of Finance that position 424 provide a clearer definition of the payment of wages for employees at science institutes, in line with the provisions of the Law on Scientific and Research Activities.
In the discussion, the Committee members and Ministry representatives exchanged opinions on the funds intended for science by the 2009 budget rebalance.
The sitting was chaired by the Committee Chairman Srboljub Zivanovic.
