Ninth Sitting of the Committee on Health and the Family
The Committee on Health and the Family held a sitting on 6 March, in which the Report of the Ministry of Health on the functioning of the health service in Kosovo and Metohia was presented to the Committee members.

The sitting was chaired by the Committee Chairperson, Snezana Stojanovic-Plavsic, and attended by the Minister of Health, Tomica Milosavljevic, State Secretary Nevena Karanovic, Director of the Republic Institute of Health Insurance Svetlana Vukajlovic and Ljubisa Nedeljkovic, Trustee for Kosovo and Metohia in the Ministry of Health.
Minister Milosavljevic informed the Committee members on the results achieved in the 2003 to 2007 period when the construction of four new health objects was completed in the Province. He also noted a better supply of medications and sanitetic materials, as well as a higher employment than in the previous period. The Committee members went on to give a positive assessment of the Report of the Ministry of Health, stating their opinions during the discussion on the functioning of the health system of the Republic of Serbia in Kosovo and Metohia.
