National Assembly to Set Up Economic Caucus
National Assembly Deputy Speaker Prof. Dr Vladimir Marinkovic announced the establishment of an Economic Caucus (Parliamentary group for economic development of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia).
Marinkovic said that the group aims to urge for institutional reform and, with an active cooperation with the economy, contribute to the creation of a better business environment and promote the key factors of Serbia’s economic development.
The initiative to set up the Economic Caucus was sent by the National Alliance for Local Economic Development (NALED) and the International Republican Institute (IRI) in Serbia. NALED and IRI believe that “the economic caucus and its members can be key partners to the economy, launch the initiative to improve legal security for investors and the existing economy and improve the quality of the regulations relating to economic development”. The Economic Caucus founding meeting will take place on Thursday, 20 November 2014, at the National Assembly House, at noon.
