National Assembly Takes Part in Conference on “A Decade of Peace Support Operations: South Eastern Europe – From Consumers to Producers of Security” in Croatia

Milovan Drecun, member of the National Assembly’s Defence and Internal Affairs Committee, will take part in the conference on “A Decade of Peace Support Operations: South Eastern Europe – From Consumers to Producers of Security”, organised by the Centre for Security Cooperation (RACVIAC), and to be held on 17 October 2012, in Rakitje, Croatia.


The main objective of the Conference is to present the efforts and results of the South-East European countries in the sphere of security in the last decade. On the occasion, the participants will analyse regional and national strategies of the states in the region with a special focus on the effects of participation in peace support operations, as well as the role of the United Nations, NATO, European Union and OSCE missions in peace support operations.

In addition to the Republic of Serbia, delegations from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Germany, Montenegro, Macedonia, Romania, Slovenia and Turkey will also take part in the Conference, and the cost of the participation will be covered by the organiser.
