National Assembly Speaker talks to Ukrainian Ambassador

Today, at the National Assembly House, the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia , Prof. Dr Slavica Djukic-Dejanovic received the Ambassador of Ukraine H. E. Viktor Nedopas. At the meeting, the officials discussed the activation of interparliamentary dialogue, not only on the level of parliament speakers, but also on the level of chairmen of both parliaments’ International Cooperation Committees.


Today, at the National Assembly House, the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia , Prof. Dr Slavica Djukic-Dejanovic received the Ambassador of Ukraine H.E. Viktor Nedopas.

At the meeting, the officials discussed the activation of interparliamentary dialogue, not only on the level of parliament speakers, but also on the level of chairmen of both parliaments’ International Cooperation Committees.

“Parliamentary friendship groups between these countries and cooperation between the speakers of both parliaments are the impetus for deepening economic and political cooperation”, Djukic-Dejanovic stressed.

Ambassador Nedopas presented Assembly Speaker Djukic-Dejanovic with an invitation letter of the Verkhovna Rada Speaker Volodymyr Lytvyn to visit the Ukrainian Parliament at the beginning of next year. This is just one of the invitations extended to the Serbian Parliament Speaker for this year. Among others, there are the invitations to an official visit to the parliaments of Cuba, Morocco, Turkey and Slovakia.
