The President of the Senate of the Republic of France is on an official visit to the Republic of Serbia with a Senate delegation, in the course of which he met with a delegation of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia headed by the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia Dr Vladimir Orlic, the members of the Foreign Affairs Committee and the European Integration Committee, as well as the members of the Parliamentary Friendship Group with the Republic of France.

After the meeting at the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, the National Assembly Speaker and the French Senate President addressed the media, declaring the visit a historic occasion, given that Mr Larcher is the first President of the French Senate to stay in our country, which is clear proof of the continuity of political relations, with an emphasis on parliamentary cooperation and the further rapprochement of two friendly peoples.
