National Assembly Speaker Visits Ljuba Nenadovic Elementary School in Cukarica

Today, the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia Dr Vladimir Orlic visited "Ljuba Nenadovic" Elementary School in Cukarica and presented it with computers on behalf of the National Assembly.

In a conversation with Dr Orlic, school principal Djuro Kosic and the teachers said that this donation will be of particular importance for the additional improvement of teaching. The National Assembly Speaker was introduced to the school's history, work organisation, as well as its students’ many successes in competitions. They used the opportunity to thank the state for its support, stressing that today's gesture is yet another confirmation of the care it shows for young people and the quality of their education.

Speaker Orlic thanked the employees and management of the school for taking care of their students, stressing that Serbia's support for young people and their better future will continue.

"Ljuba Nenadovic" Elementary School was founded in 1840, which makes it one of the oldest schools on the territory of the City of Belgrade. Today, it is attended by about 1,200 students, and thanks to significant investments in previous years, it has been adapted to the modern needs of its students and teachers.
