National Assembly Speaker Visits Islamic Republic of Iran
NARS Speaker Prof. Dr Slavica Djukic-Dejanovic, in official visit to the Islamic Republic of Iran at the invitation of the Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani, talked yesterday to her host, Parliament Speaker Larijani.

The NARS Speaker expressed profound thanks to the Iranian Government for its highly principled position regarding the Kosovo-Metohija issue and observance of the basic principles of international law and the UN Charter.
Both sides emphasised that setting sanctions against states whatever the grounds for it, has proved incapable of solving any problem. It only endangers the economic security and progress of countries, which is unacceptable from the aspect of necessity of economic development, primarily of the poorest countries.
According to the programme, today, on 3 December 2009, the NARS Speaker shall, among others, meet the president of the Iran-Serbia parliamentary friendship group, Mr. Dariush Gambari.
