The Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, Prof. Dr Slavica Djukic-Dejanovic received today a delegation of the Italian Parliament’s Chamber of Deputies, headed by the Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman, Stefano Stefani.

The officials estimated that the traditionally friendly relations between Serbia and Italy are accompanied by well-developed economic relations which are constantly on the rise. The fact that about 200 companies founded by Italian firms operate in Serbia attests to this.

The National Assembly Speaker talked to the Italian parliamentarians of the possible improvement of the cooperation between the two parliaments via the cooperation of the committees and friendship groups.

The Italian guests announced the formation of an Italian-Serbian friendship group in the Italian Parliament’s Chamber of Deputies.

They were interested in the National Assembly’s work and its activities regarding the European Union.
