National Assembly Speaker Receives Women of the Year Award

Today, the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, Prof. Dr Slavica Djukic-Dejanovic received the Kapetan Misa Anastasijevic plaque and recognition as 2009 Woman of the Year.



Today, the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, Prof. Dr Slavica Djukic-Dejanovic received the Kapetan Misa Anastasijevic plaque and recognition as 2009 Woman of the Year.

She was presented the recognition by Serbian writer Pero Zubac. The ceremony was also attended by Vlado Markanovic, director of Median Invent agency from Novi Sad, the traditional organiser of the presentation of these recognitions in cooperation with the Belgrade Chamber of Commerce and Faculty of Technical Sciences. Markanovic stressed that the recognition “goes into the right hands” and that the decision was unanimous.

The NARS Speaker expressed thanks for the recognition, adding that it would encourage her further efforts and said it was an honour to have the recognition presented by the eminent writer to whose verses she is very partial.

Kapetan Misa Anastasijevic recognitions have been presented to many eminent persons and companies in Serbia for results achieved in the field of entrepreneurship and artistic creation. The recognition is named after the originator of Serbian business from the time of prince Milos Obrenovic, Captain Misa Anastasijevic, one of the biggest salt merchants in the Balkans.
