National Assembly Speaker Receives Romanian Parliamentary Delegation

National Assembly Speaker Nebojsa Stefanovic received the Romanian parliamentary delegation headed by Dan-Radu Zătreanu.

The Romanian delegation, Zătreanu told Speaker Stefanovic, came to Serbia to learn first hand how the Romanian minority lives and works in Serbia, to support Serbia in it’s progress to the European Union and discuss the improvement of the two parliaments’ relations, directly and concretely, via bilateral contacts, particularly on issues related to the minorities in the two countries which have always been bridges of cooperation.
Speaker Stefanovic was briefed on the Romanian delegation’s positions particularly on ethnic minorities and noted that special attention would be focused on addressing issues of common interest in view of the highest European standards and traditionally good and friendly relations between the two countries. They agreed on further interparliamentary cooperation, in principle, and expressed readiness to exchange visits at the highest level.
