National Assembly Speaker Receives Japanese Ambassador
The Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, Prof. Dr Slavica Djukic-Dejanovic received today the newly appointed Ambassador of Japan Toshio Tsunozaki, who conveyed to her the greetings of the head of the Japan-Serbia friendship group at the Japanese Parliament.

Ambassador Tsunozaki stated that his priority will be to strengthen the contacts between the two countries at the highest level, including parliaments, support projects in Serbia through the “contribution to the construsction of the nation” programme, as well as stimulate regional cooperation. The Ambassador stressed that Japanese businessmen are interested in investing in Serbia which they believe an excellent place for future investment. Concerning this, he said that three major Japanese companies have recently opened branch offices in Belgrade.
The National Assembly Speaker stressed the importance of developing relations between Serbia and Japan and emphasised the role of the two countries’ parliaments in it. She thanked the Japanese government on its assistance to Serbia, which was always excellent and aimed at the citizens’ vital needs. She particularly emphasised the immense legislative work awaiting the Parliament in the upcoming period.
