She stressed that Cyprus was ready to continue to support Serbia’s territorial integrity and state sovereignty, as well as its Euro-integration, particularly in view of the Cypriot presidency of the European Union. Ambassador Krousti also relayed that Cyprus was prepared to continue and deepen cooperation particularly in the sphere of interparliamentary relations.

National Assembly Speaker MA Nebojsa Stefanovic thanked the Ambassador for the principled support Cyprus offers to the national priorities of the Republic of Serbia. Speaker Stefanovic also expressed Serbia’s readiness to further develop interparliamentary relations and opined that the economic dimension would play a very important role in the two countries’ overall cooperation. He presented the priorities of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, primarily in the realm of development of the Parliament’s representative and supervisory function, as well as strengthening of the rule of law, minority rights protection and the process of Euro-integration.
