The National Assembly Speaker was pleased to note that the visit of the Chinese delegation continues to strengthen university, scientific and cultural cooperation. Jianping Li thanked Slavica Djukic-Dejanovic for her efforts, as National Assembly Speaker, on strengthening the relations between Serbia and China. He told the National Assembly Speaker that the Chinese delegation had signed a Cooperation Agreement with the Serbia-China Friendship Association operating within the Confucius Institute of the Belgrade University Faculty of Philology.

Prof. Dr Slobodan Unkovic, President of the Serbia-China Friendship Association presented the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, Prof. Dr Slavica Djukic-Dejanovic with a Charter naming her an honorary member of the Serbia-China Friendship Association in recognition of her efforts on developing excellent and comprehensive relations between the Republic of Serbia and PR China.

The reception was attended by Prof. Dr Branko Kovacevic, Rector of Belgrade University and Radosav Pusic, Vice-President of the Serbia-China Friendship Association.

The delegation of the Chinese Overseas Friendship Association is visiting Serbia at the invitation of the Serbia-China Friendship Association headed by Prof. Dr Slobodan Unkovic.
