The Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, Prof. Dr Slavica Djukic-Dejanovic received the Canadian Ambassador to Belgrade H.E. John Morrison.

In the upcoming period, the NARS Speaker shall extend an invitation to the Senate Speaker Noel Kinsella and the Speaker of the House of Commons Peter Milliken to visit the Serbian Parliament around the middle of this year.

The officials agreed that, since the existing level of overall bilateral cooperation leaves room for improvement, the visit of the Senate Speaker and the Speaker of the House of Commons to Serbia would represent a key step towards that end.

In his meeting with the Assembly Speaker, the Canadian Ambassador complimented the Parliament’s work and efforts in overcoming the problems it faced at the beginning of the convocation and stressed the Serbian Parliament’s importance on the regional level.
