National Assembly Speaker Receives Brazilian Ambassador

The Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, Prof. Dr Slavica Djukic-Dejanovic received the Ambassador of the Republic of Brazil, H.



The Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, Prof. Dr Slavica Djukic-Dejanovic received the Ambassador of the Republic of Brazil, H.E. Dante Coelho De Lima.

In a very cordial meeting the officials noted that the long history of friendly relations between the two countries and similarities between the two nations are a good motive to further interparliamentary cooperation, as well as cooperation on all other levels.

The Brazilian Ambassador stressed that economic cooperation between Serbia and Brazil was good, highlighting the anti-corruption and veterinary treaties. Djukic-Dejanovic stated that the signed treaties encourage us to cultivate the relations that improve the lives of the citizens.

The Assembly Speaker was grateful for Brazil’s principled position regarding Serbia’s territorial integrity, as well as defense of the principle of international law before the International Court of Justice and stressed that Serbia sees Brazil as a state that upholds international law which stands between us and anarchy. De Lima stressed that Brazil would not renege its position.
