A delegation of the Municipal Committee of Topola SUBNOR (Union of Associations of Veterans of People's Liberation War) presented the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, Prof. Dr Slavica Djukic Dejanovic with the “Darinka Radovic” Plaque.
Having been established, the plaque was, for the first time, awarded by the Topola SUBNOR to National Assembly Speaker Slavica Djukic Dejanovic as a proved humanitarian, woman at the highest position of political power in Serbian society and proponent of women’s rights in Serbia. The National Assembly Speaker expressed her gratitude for the honour, stressing the importance of cultivating the anti-fascist tradition because, she said, only a people who respect their tradition can contribute to the future of Europe and the world.
According to the decision of the Topola SUBNOR, the “Darinka Radovic” Plaque will be awarded to deserving women from the Municipality of Topola, on 8 March, International Women’s Day, every year.
