National Assembly Speaker Meets with Russian Ambassador to Serbia

Today, the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic received the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Serbia Alexander Botsan-Kharchenko.

In the course of the meeting the officials discussed the parliamentary cooperation between the Republic of Serbia and the Russian Federation. They opined that the National Assembly Speaker’s recent visit to the Russian Federation, at the invitation of the Speaker of the Russian Federal Assembly’s State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin, reinvigorated the parliamentary cooperation, as well as overall bilateral relations.

Responding to Ambassador Botsan-Kharchenko’s questions, the National Assembly Speaker informed the guest about the National Assembly’s current activities and last week’s Inter-Party Dialogue. They discussed the current health situation and measures employed to contain the pandemic.

Both sides expressed readiness to continue with the intensive parliamentary cooperation after the State Duma elections called for 19 September 2021.
