National Assembly Speaker Ivica Dacic said he very happy to be meeting again with his former colleague Minister al-Maliki, thanking him for his participation in the meeting of the Non-Aligned Movement marking the 60th anniversary of its establishment and the first Summit in Belgrade, which was held in this exact edifice, the National Assembly House. He said that the relations between Serbia and Palestine are traditionally good, expressing readiness to continue to work on their improvement in his capacity as National Assembly Speaker. He also thanked Minister al-Maliki for Palestine’s principled position and support of Serbia in the matter of Kosovo-Metohija.

Speaking of Kosovo-Metohija, he assured the host that Palestine’s position on the matter would not change. He added that the excellent political relations should be accompanied by a development of economic cooperation, hoping that the idea of establishing a joint committee for economic cooperation, which the officials had discussed at an earlier time, would soon be realised.
