National Assembly Speaker Meets with Head of Hellenic Parliament Friendship Group with Serbia

The Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic met today with a Greek parliamentary delegation visiting Serbia at the invitation of the National Assembly’s PFG with Greece.

National Assembly Speaker Ivica Dacic said that the bilateral relations between Serbia and Greece are at a high level and that Serbia pays special attention to cultivating friendly relations with Greece. The relations between the two parliaments are also very developed, maintained through the work of the parliamentary friendship groups and the Commission for Cooperation of the Hellenic Parliament and the National Assembly. Ivica Dacic thanked Greece for the support it gives Serbia in the European integration process and for its understanding for the Kosovo-Metohija issue.

The Head of the PFG with Serbia in the Hellenic Parliament Christos Boukoros conveyed the greeting of the Hellenic Parliament Speaker, agreeing that the bilateral relations between Serbia and Greece are at a high level and that the work on their strengthening in all fields should continue. He said that the Serbian and Greek people have special, brotherly relations which should be cultivated. He underlined that Greece strongly supports Serbia’s European integration process.

The officials agreed that the intensive cooperation between the two parliaments should be continued after the elections in Serbia.
