National Assembly Speaker Meets with Chinese Ambassador to Serbia

The Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic received the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to the Republic of Serbia Chen Bo, today.

National Assembly Speaker Ivica Dacic and Ambassador Chen Bo discussed the cooperation between Serbia and China in the past year, concluding that, despite the pandemic, it was good and successful across the board. The high level of contacts and political cooperation has been maintained, accompanied by a further strengthening of economic cooperation.

The meeting between National Assembly Speaker Ivica Dacic and the Chairman of the Chinese National People's Congress Li Zhanshu further strengthened the cooperation between the two countries’ parliaments. The officials proclaimed readiness to further advance parliamentary cooperation by holding a meeting of the Commission for Cooperation between the Serbian National Assembly and China’s National People's Congress at the beginning of next year.

Ambassador Chen Bo extended congratulations on the coming holidays on behalf of the Chairman of the Chinese National People's Congress Li Zhanshu and on her own behalf, with the hope that the cooperation between the two countries would continue to follow the same upward trend in the coming year.
