National Assembly Speaker Meets Portuguese Parliament Speaker

Today, in Lisbon, the Speaker of the National Assembly of Portugal, Jaime Jose Matos da Gama received the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, Prof. Dr Slavica Djukic-Dejanovic, with the highest honours. In a very open and friendly talk, experiences of bilateral relations and future cooperation between the two parliaments were exchanged.



Today, in Lisbon, the Speaker of the National Assembly of Portugal, Jaime Jose Matos da Gama received the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, Prof. Dr Slavica Djukic-Dejanovic, with the highest honours.

In a very open and friendly talk, experiences of bilateral relations and future cooperation between the two parliaments were exchanged. As contribution to the cooperation, the Serbian National Assembly Speaker expressed an initiative to form a friendship group between Serbia and Portugal in the respective national parliaments. The Portuguese Parliament Speaker stressed the support for Serbia on its road to membership in the European Union.

The Speaker of the National Assembly, Prof. Dr Slavica Djukic-Dejanovic, expressed her gratitude for the hospitality and invited the Portuguese Parliament Speaker to visit Serbia.
