National Assembly Speaker Maja Gojkovic Meets with AP Vojvodina Assembly Speaker Istvan Pasztor

The Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia Maja Gojkovic met today with the Speaker of the Assembly of the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina Istvan Pasztor.

The meeting focused on the overall cooperation between the two parliaments and their cooperation in the process of harmonisation and adoption of the AP Vojvodina Statute i.e. procedure and terms, in order to meet the appropriate deadlines. The two parliament speakers discussed the activities of the two institutions in the upcoming period.
National Assembly Speaker Maja Gojkovic opined that the deliberation on the Proposal of the AP Vojvodina Statute which the AP Vojvodina Assembly, as the submitter, forwards to the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, would provide an opportunity for high quality discussion on the issue and strengthen the cooperation between the two assemblies.
In meeting with AP Vojvodina Assembly Speaker Istvan Pasztor, National Assembly Speaker Maja Gojkovic said how disappointed and concerned she was about yesterday’s incident in Budapest in which Pasztor was attacked, hoping that such a deplorable event would never happen again.
