National Assembly Speaker Ivica Dacic Meets with Mongolian Foreign Minister Batmunkh Battsetseg

The Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic met at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum with Mongolian Foreign Minister Batmunkh Battsetseg.


National Assembly Speaker Ivica Dacic said that Mongolia and Serbia are friendly countries, but unfortunately, their bilateral relations are not sufficiently developed and efforts should be invested into improving them. To that end he suggested organising bilateral visits at all levels that after the pandemic is overcome. He stressed he was ready to work with his counterpart, the Speaker of the Mongolian Parliament, on strengthening parliamentary cooperation, adding that an exchange of visits would be a step in that direction.

Minister Battsetseg conveyed the greetings of the Mongolian Parliament Speaker and agreed that there is a lot of room to improve cooperation, especially in the field of trade and agriculture. She congratulated Serbia on the successfully conducted vaccination process and informed the Assembly Speaker about the situation in Mongolia, which has so far managed to vaccinate over 80% of the population with the first dose of the vaccine.
