National Assembly Speaker Ivica Dacic Congratulates Easter to All Christian Believers Celebrating according to Gregorian Calendar

The Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic congratulated Easter to Belgrade Archbishop and Metropolitan Stanislav Hocevar and all Christian believers who celebrating the holiday according to the Gregorian calendar.

"On behalf of the National Assembly and on my own behalf, I extend my sincerest congratulations to You and to all the believers of the Catholic faith who celebrate the Christian holiday of Easter according to the Gregorian calendar.

This greatest of Christian holidays is an opportunity to spread the Christian virtues of peace, love and respect among people of good will. These are the values nurtured by the Christian people, and in order to build a more tolerant society, we must constantly adhere to them for the benefit of all our citizens.

Unfortunately, we celebrate the holiday in very challenging and difficult times of the coronavirus pandemic, which showed and proved to us how helpless a person can be, but also that human solidarity and understanding are the basis of all Christian values and relations.

I extend my deepest respect and may the traditional messages of Easter guide all who celebrate to spend the holiday in the spirit of togetherness, forgiveness and mutual respect", said Dacic.
