National Assembly Speaker Dr Vladimir Orlic Presented with Cross of Vozhd Djordje Stratimirovic: Award - Incentive for Future
The Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia Dr Vladimir Orlic was awarded the Cross of Vozhd Djordje Stratimirovic today. The high award, named after the commander of the Serbian armed forces during the 1848 revolution in Austria-Hungary, was presented to Dr Orlic by Prof. Ivan Stratimirovic, grandson of Vozhd Djordje Stratimirovic.
The delegation included the leader's great-grandson Djordje Stratimirovic, Danijel Kulacin, President of the Centre for Development of Sajkaska, Aleksandar Djudjev, Head of the Organising Committee, Goran Milenkovic, member of the Organising Committee, priest Nenad Jovanovic and Stefan Krkobabic, Head of the PUPS - Solidarity and Justice Parliamentary Club.
The National Assembly Speaker talked with the representatives of the Centre, after which he was presented with the award. "I am certain that Vozhd Stratimirovic would be proud of our Serbia as it is today. This award is first of all a sign of trust and represents a significant incentive for future work," said Dr Orlic.
