National Assembly Speaker Congratulates New Year

The Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia Dr Vladimir Orlic congratulated the citizens of the Republic of Serbia the upcoming New Year holidays.

"Behind us is another year that required a lot of effort and commitment, a year in which we once again showed that, when we are united, we can overcome all challenges and achieve great goals, including those for which generations have been waiting for decades. We told the world that Serbia will not stop on its path of progress, but continue decisively like never before.

We have good reason to welcome the next year with confidence: t new successes and new victories for Serbia are ahead of us. Guided by the strength of unity, we will consistently implement our state policy in 2024, which the people have given the strongest trust and support to: the National Assembly, together with the President of the Republic and the Government of Serbia, will work dedicatedly for the people and the country.

We will protect the freedom, independence and sovereignty of the Motherland, and firmly defend only our state and national interests, in accordance with the inviolable will of the people. For all of us who belong to it, our Serbia is our biggest motivation to persevere on that path. Its good future is our most important task, which we will work on harder and stronger than in previous years.

On behalf of the National Assembly and on my own behalf, happy New Year to all the citizens of the Republic of Serbia with the wish that it will be even more successful for them in every way, that it will bring only good health, well-being, personal and family happiness to everyone," says Speaker Orlic in his New Year’s greeting .
