National Assembly Speaker Congratulates Eid al-Fitr

The Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia Dr Vladimir Orlic congratulated the Rijaset of the Islamic Community of Serbia, Chief Mufti and President of the Meshihat of the Islamic Community in Serbia, as well as all believers of the Islamic faith:

"I would like to congratulate Eid al-Fitr to you and all the believers of the Islamic community from the bottom, with good wishes and blessings from God.

The holy month of mercy and forgiveness reminds us of the importance of togetherness, solidarity, mutual understanding and respect - of all the eternal values which Eid is a symbol of and which we nurture together in order to, for the pride and well-being of all of our citizens, continue to persistently build and strengthen our Serbia, making it capable of responding to every challenge.

On behalf of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia and on my own behalf, I once again congratulate you on Eid al-Fitr with the wish that you always celebrate it in health, peace and joy, in our common Motherland, our most beautiful Serbia.
