National Assembly Speaker Ana Brnabic Lays Wreaths at Heydar Aliyev Grave and Eternal Flame Monument in Baku
The Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia Ana Brnabic began her visit to Azerbaijan today by laying wreaths at the tomb of national leader Heydar Aliyev in the Alley of Honours, as well as at the "Eternal Flame" monument in the Alley of Martyrs.
The Alley of Honour is a cemetery and memorial in Baku, home to a total of 242 tombs of famous Azerbaijanis, including several presidents, scientists, and artists.
The Alley of Martyrs is a memorial complex dedicated to Azerbaijanis who died in the conflict with Soviet troops during the suppression of demonstrations by the Azerbaijani population in Baku on 20 January 1990.
