National Assembly Deputy Speaker Vladimir Marinkovic Meets with Brazilian Ambassador to Serbia

National Assembly Deputy Speaker Prof. Dr Vladimir Marinkovic met today at the National Assembly House with H.E. Brazilian Ambassador to Serbia Isabel Cristina de Azevedo Heyvaert.


Prof. Dr Marinkovic greeted H.E. Brazilian Ambassador and took the opportunity to stress the importance of cooperation and development of relations, especially in the sphere of economy which would accompany and build on the already well-established bilateral relations. He added that Serbia should look up to Brazil and learn a lot from it, especially concerning economy, and that, speaking of bilateral relations, there is plenty of room to strengthen the ties between the two parliaments.

Heyvaert thanked the National Assembly Deputy Speaker for the invitation and at the very beginning said that Brazil’s stance on the independence of Kosovo-Metohija remains unchanged. She said that there is always room for cooperation, especially in the fields of agriculture, infrastructure, tourism and energy.

The officials concluded that the next meeting, which could take place as soon as October, should be with high-ranking officials, representatives of two countries’ governments, parliaments as well as potential investors.
