National Assembly Deputy Speaker Prof. Dr Vladimir Marinkovic Talks to Children without Parental Care
National Assembly Deputy Speaker and member of the Committee on the Rights of the Child Prof. Dr Vladimir Marinkovic met with the children without parental care visiting the parliament as part of project “Social inclusion – Generation of the Future”.
Welcoming them, Marinkovic said he was proud to be given the chance to take part in the realisation of project “Social inclusion – Generation of the Future” which, he stressed, was of particular importance for everyone at the National Assembly. The Deputy Speaker told the young people that they were the future of Serbia and that the state counted on them.
“We know you hold a great potential and you should know that we, the politicians, are your support “, said Marinkovic. He also told them how important it was that they learn every day and never stop developing and improving, because the quality of their future life would depend on the extent and quality of their education.
The young people were mostly interested in the development of the Serbian economy, asking why the state owned factories were closed at one point and whether there was any way they can be resuscitated.
After the meeting, the children visited the Grand and Small Assembly Hall, Prince Pavle salon and the library.
