National Assembly Deputy Speaker Marinkovic Meets with President of International Christian Embassy Jerusalem
National Assembly Deputy Speaker Prof. Dr Vladimir Marinkovic met today at the National Assembly with the President of the International Christian Embassy Jerusalem Dr Jürgen Bühler to discuss how best to advance the National Assembly’s cooperation with the international organization and the importance of its developing ties with the Christian churches in Serbia.
Deputy Speaker Marinkovic said that the return to the ethical principles and values promoted by Christianity are especially important now as the European countries face a crisis of values, both in politics and other social segments – economy and culture.
Dr Jürgen Bühler informed the National Assembly Deputy Speaker about the activities of the International Christian Embassy Jerusalem which spans over 170 countries worldwide and has local branches in over 90 states. Its mission is to help and support people in trouble, living in difficult conditions and poverty. He said that the international organization is very interested in fostering closer ties with the Christian churches in Serbia.
Marinkovic and Bühler discussed what the next steps in the cooperation between the states of the region and Visegrad Group, and the International Christian Embassy Jerusalem should be to promote Christian values in Europe.
