National Assembly Deputy Speaker Elvira Kovacs at PACE European Conference of Speakers of Parliament

On behalf of National Assembly Speaker Ana Brnabic, National Assembly Deputy Speaker Elvira Kovacs is taking part in the European Conference of Speakers of Parliament today, 20 March 2024, organised by the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) in Strasbourg.

The conference is also attended by the Head of the National Assembly delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe Biljana Pantic Pilja.

The themes of this year’s conference are: Safeguarding democracy, Guaranteeing freedom of expression in times of polarisation and uncertainty and Violence against politicians. Kovacs will speak at the first two panels.

On the sidelines of the event, the National Assembly Deputy Speaker will also have a series of meetings.
