The officials expressed mutual pleasure at the excellent parliamentary cooperation between Serbia and Russia and between their respective parliamentary delegations in international organisations and forums, with a special focus on the rising trend of bilateral relations at the political, cultural and other levels.

The parliamentarians also discussed the importance of fighting terrorism, especially in the context of the acts perpetrated by the Islamic state.

They stressed the need for a comprehensive approach to the fight against terrorism, agreeing that parliamentary diplomacy can greatly contribute to these efforts. They were both pleased by the reforms and results achieved by the Serbian Government and Prime Minister Vucic’s contribution to keeping peace and stability in the region. Deputy Speaker Becic extended condolences to the families of the victims killed in the terrorist attack on the Russian airplane above Egypt.
