National Assembly Delegation to SEECP PA Substitute Member at International Conference “SEECP PA – Regional Synergies, Strategic Cooperation and Parliamentary Diplomacy”
Vesna Rakonjac, substitute member of the National Assembly’s standing delegation to the South East Europe Cooperation Process Parliamentary Assembly (SEECP PA), is taking part in the international conference “South East Europe Cooperation Process Parliamentary Assembly – Regional Synergies, Strategic Cooperation and Parliamentary Diplomacy”, today, on 6 November, in Sofia, Bulgaria.
In the course of the day Vesna Rakonjac and her counterparts from the parliaments of the SEECP 12 member states and Pristina will discuss setting and applying regional priorities and cooperation with other regional initiatives and civil society organisations, as well as international organisations, with a special focus on the role of the SEECP PA in the European integration process and intensification or cooperation with the European Parliament.
Tomorrow, Vesna Rakonjac will attend the meeting of the SEECP Parliamentary Assembly Standing Committee where she and the other authorised representatives of the regional parliaments will discuss the guidelines for the cooperation agreement between the SEECP PA and the European Parliament based on the conclusions of the international conference, the invitation of PABSEC President Popescu-Tăriceanu for an exchange of national parliament opinions on the observer status and the obtained status of observer in the Baltic Sea Parliamentary Conference (BSPC).
