National Assembly Delegation at CSTO PA Council Session outside Seat in Dushanbe, Tajikistan
National Assembly Deputy Speaker Radovan Tvrdisic and CSTO PA Standing Delegation Member Djordje Todorovic took part in the session of the Council of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Collective Security Treaty Organisation (CSTO PA) outside the CSTO PA seat was held in Dushanbe, Republic of Tajikistan, on 1 July 2021, headed by the Chairman of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Vyacheslav Volodin.
The session was dedicated to the current challenges facing the CSTO PA member states, with a special focus on the fight against terrorism and against COVID-19. National Assembly Deputy Speaker Radovan Tvrdisic addressed the session giving a brief overview of the cooperation between the Republic of Serbia and CSTO PA from the moment Serbia was granted observer status, stressing the country’s military neutrality. The session of the CSTO PA Council was preceded by a reception with the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, where Deputy Speaker Tvrdisic conveyed the message that the Republic of Serbia is grateful to Tajikistan for not recognising the unilaterally declared independence of so-called Kosovo.
The heads of parliaments of the CSTO member states Russia, Belarus, Armenia and Tajikistan, took part in the session of the CSTO PA Council outside the seat, in Dushanbe, Republic of Tajikistan. The Republic of Serbia participated as an observer.
