The discussions at the Ιnter-Parliamentary Conference will be deal with current CSDP/CFSP issues i.e. European Union’s civilian and military missions and operations, the priorities of the Cypriot presidency of the EU in the field of foreign and security policy, as well as the Arab Spring. The first session of the meeting will be dedicated to the debate on and adoption of the Rules of Procedure of the Conference.

The parliamentarians of the EU member states and candidates, as well as the European Parliament will be addressed by the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Catherine Ashton, President of the Cypriot House of Representatives, Yiannakis Omirou, as well as the Cypriot Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr Erato Kozakou Marcoullis and Minister of Defence, Demetris Eliades.

The delegation of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia will comprise: the Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee, Milos Aligrudic, deputy member of the Foreign Affairs Committee, Prof. Dr Ljubisa Stojmirovic, as well as Igor Becic and Konstantin Samofalov, members of the Defence and Internal Affairs Committee.
