At the invitation of the president of the Senta municipality, Attila Juhasz, and several deputies, the Chairman of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, Predrag Markovic, today visited the Senta municipality.

Attending events to mark Senta Day, Mr Markovic visited the Senta Museum and met local officials. Speaking with Senta municipality president Attila Juhasz, the chairperson of the municipal assembly, Aniko Zsiros Jankelic, and municipal deputies, Mr Markovic stressed that everyone in Serbia was facing the same task – meeting, as quickly as possible, European criteria, as that was another guarantee of keeping all our individual characteristics, national, regional and local identities. Mr Markovic reiterated that the Local Self-government Property Bill would come in for discussion at the National Assembly in late October.

Mr Markovic went on to attend an air show at the Senta People’s Garden, where he greeted members of the public present, and, along with other deputies, witnessed the take-off of Serbian and Hungarian balloons.
