NARS Speaker Talks to Slovak Prime Minister
As part of its two-day visit to the Slovak Republic, the Serbian delegation headed by the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia Prof. Dr Slavica Djukic-Dejanovic visited the Government of the Slovak Republic today and met with the Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico. Djukic-Dejanovic briefed the Slovak Prime Minister on the results of Serbia’s process of accession to the European Union and thanked him for Slovakia’s full support of Serbia’s efforts to speed up its process of integration into the family of European nations.

Repeating that Serbia would never recognise the independence of Kosovo-Metohija, Djukic-Dejanovic was particularly grateful for Slovakia’s principled and firm support regarding the unilateral declaration of Kosovo independence, particularly thanking the Government of the Slovak Republic for voting in favour of the Resolution at the International Court of Justice and the writ on the legality of the unilaterally declared independence of Kosovo.

The visit also includes a meeting with the President of the Slovak Republic Ivan Gasparovic, as well as a meeting with the members of the Serbia-Slovakia Friendship Group and representatives of the Serbian community in Slovakia.
In addition to the NARS Speaker, the delegation also comprises deputies Pavel Marcok from the For European Serbia Deputy Group and Donka Banovic from the DPS-Vojislav Kostunica Deputy Group.
