The Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, Prof. Dr Slavica Djukic-Dejanovic received today at the National Assembly House the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Arab Republic of Egypt Ahmed Aboul-Gheit, in official visit to Serbia.

The officials agreed that the friendship between Serbia and Egypt, dating far back, provided a good basis for favourable bilateral relations between the two countries and expressed hope that the relations would be even better in future and have a significantly influence the expansion of both parliamentary and economic cooperation.

The NARS Speaker thanked the Egyptian Foreign Minister on the principled support on the issue of Serbia’s territorial integrity and sovereignty over its whole territory within the internationally recognised borders as a UN member.

Djukic-Dejanovic reiterated that she had already invited the Egyptian Parliament Speaker to visit Serbia.
