The Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, Prof. Dr Slavica Djukic-Dejanovic talked today, at the National Assembly House, to the Ambassador of the United Kingdom H.E. Stephen Wordsworth. Ambassador Wordsworth was interested in the Parliament’s activities, Srebrenica Resolution and final version of the Bill on the National Assembly. He also suggested to Assembly Speaker Slavica Djukic-Dejanovic to establish cooperation between the UK and Serbian parliamentarians, after the spring elections in the United Kingdom and creation of the future parliamentary composition.

“The United Kingdom’s foreign policy, particularly its promotion of European Union expansion, will not change after the parliamentary elections at the end of March, beginning of April this year”, the Ambassador said, adding that the UK strongly supports Serbia’s European integration.

Djukic-Dejanovic emphasised that this year the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia was expected to adopt a large number of laws and other documents, adding that the Parliament would continue with the same dynamics as last year and improve the quality of its work.
