National Assembly Speaker Prof. Dr Slavica Djukic-Dejanovic received a delegation of the People’s Republic of China Ministry of Supervision, headed by Zhang Huixin, senior supervisor. The delegation, guests of the Ministry of Justice, is visiting Belgrade from 27 to 30 October 2010.

The Ministry of Supervision is the body in charge of the anti-corruption struggle in PR China, enjoying cooperation and sharing experience with more than 70 countries in the world. The NARS Speaker informed the Chinese delegation of the steps taken by the adoption of the Decision establishing the National Anti-Corruption Strategy in 2005, by which the elected representatives of the citizens obliged the state authorities to implement the Strategy’s recommendations. To that end, the Speaker also pointed out the Law on the Anti-Corruption Agency. “By ratifying international treaties, conventions and additional protocols, Serbia committed itself to cooperate with all international institutions and organisations such as GRECO, UN, EU”, stressed the NARS Speaker.

Djukic-Dejanovic was pleased at the fact that the Chinese delegation would talk to the Anti-Corruption Agency whose creating enabled the National Assembly to delegate part of its authority to it.

The officials agreed that the two peoples’ deep and sincere friendship should be employed to expand cooperation in all spheres, particularly in the anti-corruption sphere since Serbia and China share similar goals and tasks in the sphere.
