In the cordial meeting, Slavica Djukic-Dejanovic said that the Council of Europe has been extremely helpful in the democratisation of our society and dealing with the roadmap to the EU. The Speaker was grateful for the projects realised so far. She highlighted the importance of project “Joint Initiative to Support of Parliamentary Institutions” completed in October 2009. Djukic-Dejanovic said that project cooperation would continue, particularly in the sphere of human rights and social democratisation, through education for the MPs and assembly services.

Head of the Council of Europe Mission to Serbia Antje Rothemund expressed her pleasure at the cooperation with the NARS so far and announced that the CE Monitoring Committee would visit Serbia in September.
