NARS Speaker Receives Newly-Appointed Belgian Ambassador

The Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, Prof. Dr Slavica Djukic-Dejanovic received the newly-appointed Ambassador of the Kingdom of Belgium to Serbia Alain Kundycki.

Both noted that Serbia is spares no effort to overcome the obstacles to the beginning of the process of accession to the European Union. The NARS Speaker thanked the Belgian Government for its support and expressed hope that the ratification of the SAA will soon find its way to the Belgian Parliament’s agenda.

Ambassador Kundycki emphasised the importance of the apprehension of the Hague defendant General Ratko Mladic which demonstrates Serbia’s readiness to fulfill its obligations as per the requisites of the Hague Tribunal.

In that respect, Serbia acted in accordance to the rules adopted by the NARS i.e. in accordance to the Law on cooperation with the Hague Tribunal, stressed the NARS Speaker.

The Ambassador informed the Speaker that the SAA is already before the Belgian Parliament, but that, considering the current political situation in Belgium, it still has not been put on the agenda.
