Today, at the National Assembly House, NARS Speaker Prof. Dr Slavica Djukic-Dejanovic received about 120 students of the Lady School realising project Best Girl Next Door in cooperation with the City of Belgrade. The project promotes the best and most talented girls in the spheres of culture, sports, science and art, studying in more than 30 high-schools on the territory of Belgrade.

The NARS Speaker welcomed the girls to the National Assembly House beginning her address with details from her own life in high-school.

The students asked the NARS Speaker about her most successful projects, favourite awards and whether it had been difficult to become NARS Speaker, SPS Vice-President, Department Head at the Faculty of Medicine and psychiatrist. They also discussed how any individual can persuade students to stay to live and work in Serbia.

“Current research shows that only 5% of young people are ready to join society in order to effect change which is an alarming figure. I appeal to you to employ your knowledge and will so that we can together contribute to a better life for all of us”, said the Speaker among other things.

The selection for project Best Girl Next Door was guided by achievements and diplomas gained at city, republican and international competitions, as well as achievements from various spheres. The prize is a scholarship for Lady School that would provide them with better study conditions and future career.

The school’s programme includes education in traditional values and modern trends of upbringing and education for girls at the most sensitive period of their growing up. The lecturers are celebrities and eminent experts from the spheres of communication, motivation, personal and corporative image, sport and recreation.
