NARS Speaker Receives Delegation of International Radio Serbia

The Speaker of the National Assembly, Prof. Dr Slavica Djukic-Dejanovic received a delegation of International Radio Serbia, headed by the director Milorad Vujovic.



The Speaker of the National Assembly, Prof. Dr Slavica Djukic-Dejanovic received a delegation of International Radio Serbia, headed by the director Milorad Vujovic. The meeting was attended by Snezana Stojanovic-Plavsic, State Secretary at the Ministry of Culture, Andrey Gregorievich Bistricky, chairman of the Voice of Russia, Zoja Kostadinova, deputy director of Radio Bulgaria, Ekaterina Monolova, editor of Radio Bulgaria’s Serbian programme, Domagoj Versic, editor-in-chief of the Voice of Croatia, Lara Drcic, journalist of Italradio, Milutin Stancic, representative of the Spona centre from Macedonia and Igor Mladenovic, deputy director of International Radio Serbia.

Djukic-Dejanovic congratulated International Radio Serbia on its 75th anniversary, expressing her belief that it would continue to maintain its high level of professionalism, as well as objectively and timely inform the domestic and foreign public on all important events.

Vujovic stressed that the radio needs the state’s help to fulfill all of the tasks modern technology imposes. He pointed out that a national strategy for the digitalization of the radio should be drafted as soon as possible which would essentially enable the transference from analogue to digital broadcasting of the radio signal. State Secretary at the Ministry of Culture Snezana Stojanovic-Plavsic stated that International Radio Serbia is renowned for its high level of professionalism, emphasising the importance of comprehensive information of the diaspora and foreign public. Stojanovic-Plavsic said the Ministry of Culture is ready to assist the radio programme and a media strategy is currently being drafted.
