NARS Speaker Receives Canadian Ambassador in Farewell Visit
The Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia Prof. Dr Slavica Djukic-Dejanovic received the Ambassador of Canada, H.E. John Morrison in a farewell visit.
Djukic-Dejanovic said she was pleased with the relations between Serbia and Canada and the progress made in the field of economic cooperation. The NARS Speaker stressed the contribution H.E. John Morrison made toward the excellent cooperation and good relations between the two geographically distant countries, as well as her personal pleasure at the fact that the NARS had passed the legal framework to stimulate foreign investment. Djukic-Dejanovic also emphasised the importance of cultural and scientific cooperation between Serbia and Canada, as well as the fact that our numerous diaspora in Canada is an important bridge between the two countries.
H.E. John Morrison was pleased at the good bilateral cooperation particularly in the economic sphere. Both sides expressed a wish that the successful cooperation would continue with the next Canadian Ambassador.
