The Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, Prof. Dr Slavica Djukic-Dejanovic congratulated Easter, the day of the resurrection of Christ, to His Holiness Patriarch Irinej of Serbia, Archbishop of Belgrade Stanislav Hocevar, church dignitaries, clergy, all faithful and all Serbian citizens celebrating the holiday.

“On the behalf of the deputies and myself, I extend my most sincere congratulations on the great Christian holiday, the day of the resurrection of Christ. It is my hope that, in the time that comes, we shall find the strength to overcome all difficulties by respecting tradition and spiritual values and that the spirit of tolerance and mutual understanding will triumph in everyday life. May we spend the upcoming holidays in spiritual peace and good health, with faith for a better future”, were the Assembly Speaker’s sentiments.
