Today, National Assembly Speaker Prof. Dr Slavica Djukic-Dejanovic greeted the students of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Diplomatic Academy “Koca Popovic” in visit to the National Assembly.

“There is no doubt that you, the students of this academy, have both your own opinions about and ambitions for the future. I wish to tell you that when it comes to diplomacy opinions and ambitions should be extremely rational because diplomatic mistakes can have very serious consequences both to the diplomat and wider social framework. Modern generations grow in environments markedly different than before. The chance to train young people at the Diplomatic Academy is something truly commendable which should be encouraged to become a regular type of education for young people and would in turn also require appropriate conditions and funds”, said the Speaker.

Following the NARS Speaker’s opening address, Dr Dragoljub Micunovic, Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman, spoke to the Diplomatic Academy students about the importance of diplomacy, human and civil liberties and equality.

The Diplomatic Academy students also viewed part of the National Assembly sitting from the gallery of the Great Plenary Hall.
